What is the Soldiers' Role in BOSS?
BOSS councils are comprised of single Soldiers from All units on the installation, from Brigades to Companies. Single Soldiers have an opportunity to become unit representatives, volunteer to assist in planning an event or attend BOSS activities. The Department of the Army BOSS circular defines the roles of the chain of command and MWR personnel at all levels.
The BOSS Presidents goal is to win over "Hey You" Representatives. If a rep is unwilling to perform his duties as the Unit BOSS rep the BOSS President will inform the Chain of Command to replace said Rep. Single Soldiers Need the information as early as possible and a Rep that is willing to perform their Duties to the best of their abilities! (Separate these two paragraphs and delete the underlined sentence with Should Want to Volunteer)
When are the Installation BOSS Meeting?
The Installation BOSS Meeting are every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every Month at Foxhole Bldg 1532. Location of the meeting may very but the BOSS President will send out a message prior to the meeting and will ensure every rep knows where the meeting will be held. If a Rep misses a Meeting they may come to the BOSS Office to pick up the packets from the Meeting but will not be counted for attending the meeting or be added to the BOSS minutes for the Meeting. Installation BOSS Meeting Minutes will be sent out to all the BOSS Representatives and to the Commands before the end of the week of the meeting.
