Waller Physical Fitness Center’s three weight rooms are equipped with the newest, state-of-the-art, plate-loaded machines, selectorized (pin-select) equipment and free weights, with weight plates and dumbbells ranging from 5-180 lbs.  Our largest weight room, a 3,800 square foot new addition to the facility, houses the plate-loaded equipment. Waller PFC offers modern aerobic training equipment, to include twelve treadmills, five Summit Trainers, six elliptical trainers, six recumbent and seven upright bikes, as well as a step mill and five indoor rowing machines. A speed bag and two free-standing kick bags (heavy bags) are available for your work outs in the multi-purpose room.  In addition, Waller PFC offers a sauna, a hot tub, and a multi-purpose room for stretching and stability ball/medicine ball training. A room for Crossfit-type training houses two Olympic lifting platforms with bars & bumper plates, a glute-ham developer, a Concept2 rowing machine, slammer balls, medicine balls, plyo boxes, and pull-up bars.

We offer ten free group fitness classes, taught by certified instructors, per week in our 1,640 square foot classroom (see schedule).

Free Personal Training with a certified Personal Trainer is available Mondays through Fridays from 0730 to 2030 by appointment only.

Work out DVDs & TV/DVD player are available for checkout within the facility; please see attached list of available DVDs.

Waller PFC’s regulation-size collegiate basketball is often used for league and tournament play; the gym is also available for change-of-command ceremonies and other special events.

 

FREE Personal Training - By appointment only, between 0700-2030, Monday - Friday, 1430-2000 weekends; group or individual sessions.  All participants will meet with a certified personal trainer; the following are included:  fitness assessment, goal setting, and workout sessions.

 

FREE Intro to Equipment - By appointment only, between 0700-2030, Monday – Friday, 1430-2000 weekends; groups or individuals.  All participants will meet with a certified personal trainer who will introduce the proper way to use the equipment at Waller Physical Fitness Center.

 

FREE Body Fat Analysis – By Appointment only, between 0700-2030, Monday – Friday, 1430-2000 on weekends; body fat will be checked either with a hand-held body fat analyzer or with skin fold calipers.

 

FREE Yoga Basics class – Fridays 0645-0745 and Tuesdays from 1145-1245.

A class for all fitness levels.  Increase your flexibility and balance, improve your alignment and functional strength, learn to breathe more efficiently and reduce stress.

 

FREE Circuit Training class – Wednesdays & Fridays from 1730-1830

Class includes sports moves, cardio respiratory drills, plyometrics, and resistance training exercises.  It is ideal for those who want to enhance their fitness level in an easy-to-follow format.

 

FREE 30 Minute Circuit – Wednesdays 1200-1230

Class includes sports moves, cardio respiratory drills, plyometrics, and resistance training exercises.  It is ideal for those who want to enhance their fitness level in an easy-to-follow format.

 

FREE Back2Basics – Thursdays 1200-1300

A boot camp style class, designed for weight loss and dynamic/absolute strength gains.

 

FREE Strike Abs – Mondays 1200-1300

A full body work out using kickboxing techniques & free weights to build endurance , balance and strength

 

FREE Spin Class

This indoor cycling class is designed to increase your cardiovascular fitness through hill climbs, jumps, speed drills, and more. Arrive 10 minutes early and bring a water bottle.

 

FREE Sports Conditioning

Improve your speed, agility and quickness with this total body strength and conditioning class. Medicine balls, dumbbells, agility ladder, Bosu balls, and plyo boxes will be utilized to condition your body for a variety of sports activities.
