Operation Rising Star Final Round

Operation Rising Star (Oct. 23 & 27)

Audition to be the next rising star! We are looking for the best singers in the military!

This competition provides Soldiers and their Family members an opportunity to reach their dreams of becoming a recording artist! Want to compete? Here are a few guidelines:

Contestants must be Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve from any branch of Service or a family member of the aforementioned, 18 years or older and compete as a vocalist. Submit your application to one of the participating locations. You can download the Operation Rising Star Fort Carson Application or call 719-526-1867 for more information.The first round of auditions will be a capella. For round 2 finals, each location will post all rules for weekly music themes. Votes from your family and friends will count towards your score in these rounds. the 2012 Army-wide Operation Rising Star finals will be held in San Antonio, TX and will be broadcast on the Pentagon Channel.

• 1st Prize: $500 and advance to the Army-wide finals
• 2nd Prize: $250
• 3rd Prize: $100
• The Operation Rising Star Grand Prize Winner will receive an all expense paid trip for 2 with a professional recording studio experience and $1000 to spend!

Operation Rising Star: Fort Carson

• Preliminary Round: October 23, 6 p.m. at the Freedom Performing Arts Center
• Finals: October 27, 6 p.m. at the Special Events Center
