With the sounds of giggling children and the many smiling faces, one might say “Beacon Circle is the place to be!” Beacon Circle School Age Services offers before and after school care for children in grades kindergarten thru fourth grade. On average, Beacon Circle hosts about 150 children during the school year that attend three schools here on Fort Carson. Our facility consists of eight classrooms, four of which serve children in grades 1-4 and four that serve kindergarten students. All classrooms are staffed appropriately to meet our ratio requirements with qualified leads and caregivers in each room to assist the children in learning through play.
We offer numerous options for our children during our program day. A typical day at Beacon Circle consists of children arriving early in the morning before school. Children who desire breakfast can eat a nutritious breakfast in our cafeteria and then take the transportation by district school bus to school. Upon returning from school in the afternoon, children are offered a snack before starting Discovery rotations. During our Discovery rotations students may choose to attend any or all of the rooms to include, science and technology/homework, games, life skills and art. Each of the rooms is equipped with the necessary materials to allow children to participate in and complete projects according to the room’s theme. We here at Beacon Circle are aware that students do not attend school all year long so during a school out session i.e. summer, fall, winter and spring break, you will find children participating in field trips and/or seasonal related activities.
With so many opportunities for our children, there is never a dull moment here at Beacon Circle. We strive to meet the needs and desires of all of our patrons.
As anyone can see, we offer a multitude of activities each and every day while children are in our care. We hope that we can entice you to stop by for a visit, as we know once you do, your child will be begging you to attend!
