In collaboration with the Metropolitan Recreation District and the El Paso County Parks and Recreation Department, the Ellicott School District continues to implement a community park system, which includes a children’s playground, modern baseball and softball complex, and convenient parking.  The School District added a physical fitness/athletic track and practice soccer and football field.  The District employs 73 teachers, 67 support staff members, and 8 administrators.  All-day kindergarten is provided in the elementary school.  The  District offers half-day preschool and Head Start programs.  All classrooms and computer labs are connected to a district-wide network with wireless internet access.  High school students are provided post-secondary opportunities at the community college level.  The district adopted a Monday through Thursday 4 day week beginning in 2003-2004.
