Hours of Operation:

Tuesday & Friday: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Wednesday & Thursday: 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.

Saturday: 8 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.

Sunday & Monday: closed

Outdoor Climbing Wall- Sixty feet of vertical problem solving!  With several holds and routes ranging from a novice level to expert, challenge will be met for all.  On the wall there are two person teams with one on belay and the other climbing the wall.  Here is a great opportunity to test your patience and persistence.  As you continue to challenge yourself on the wall you will gain a respect for all those times people told you to never give up.

Classes & Programs:

"On Belay" Climbing Wall Instruction Classes

every Wednesday & Thursday

Time: 5:30-8:30 p.m.

This introductory class will teach you knots, belaying techniques and climbing commands.  After completion of this class, you will be certified to climb the newly expanded indoor climbing wall located at the OutdoorRecreationCenter, and be ready to join us on the rock for the rest of the A.P.E. climbing series.

Cost: $15

Wall Crawl – 3 hours on the Outdoor Climbing Wall

Open to Active Duty military, non-profit organizations and corporations.

PT Climb – 1.5 hours on the Outdoor Climbing Wall    

Try something new for PT in the morning!  Our 60 foot climbing wall can be scheduled for units during morning PT.  The wall will present a physical and mental challenge you and your group.  This can be a great alternative to the normal PT.

Open to Active Duty military, non-profit organizations and corporations.

FREE Wall Crawl- every other Wednesday

This is a great opportunity to have some evening fun in the summer.  Every other Wednesday this summer, APE is offering a FREE opportunity to climb the outside climbing tower, across the road from Bldg. 2429 (ODR).  Open to all ages, however children must be accompanied by an adult.  There is no need to pre-register for this program.

Customized Programming- This is your program!

The APE staff is fully committed to develop a program which fits the unique dynamics of your group.  We are able to fully customize programs and are happy to develop a program which utilizes more than one of our focus areas.
