Interns - RETURN TO HOME

Hope Carter

Hope comes from the mysterious and beautiful state of Georgia. Home-grown in a small southern town, she attends the college there known as Georgia Southern University. Hope is majoring in outdoor recreation, and minoring in environmental sustainability. Snow is a whole new concept to this beach bum, but so far the slopes and ice are providing the coolest thrills! Not favoring any outdoor sport in particular, she mostly enjoys kayaking, rock climbing, and rolling down hills.

Erik Dahl

Erik is at Fort Carson fulfilling his internship for his Recreation Management degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  Colorado has been his campsite for the last two summers working as a raft guide for River Runners on the Arkansas River.  Through his experiences here, he has fallen in love with Outdoor Adventure Recreation, Colorado, the people who inhabit it, and the resources that it offers the outdoor enthusiast.  Erik discovered the MWR program and APE through fellow students in his program at UW-L and is extremely exited to be working with such an experienced staff while giving back to our troops.  He only hopes that he can live up to the gnar bar set by his fellow Wisconsinites!
