STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY FOR
ALL ARMY SPORTS ONLINE
Once submitted, applicants must track their application to ensure it arrives at the Army Sports Office
Web Site Address: https://armysports.cfsc.army.mil
You will SEE a sign-on screen.
Sign on using your AKO USER NAME and PASSWORD
Sign-on again using your E-MAIL ADDRESS (This is a one time identification sign-on – you will never see this screen again.
You will then receive a message saying that your information has been updated -- just click OK.
Click on your SPORT of interest (sport dates; standards; selection criteria, etc).
When READY to apply, click APPLICATION and select “SUBMIT A NEW APPLICATION”; if you already have an application on file, select application; click “VIEW MY APPLICATIONS”.
Select from the top- down SPORTS you wish to apply for and what event you are applying (TRIAL CAMP, ARMED FORCES, CISM, ETC); With most sports you will begin with TRIAL CAMP; Note – some Sports do not have a Trial Camp and are by application only; carefully identify the sports for which you wish to apply.
Most fields are required on an application; if you do not input information correctly you cannot advance to the next screen.
When moving back and forth through the application process, ALWAYS USE the back button at the bottom of the screen.
Note: You can stop at any time during the process and finish later.
Click APPLY HERE.
Complete Items Part 1 - When complete select “CONTINUE”.
Complete PART 2 - When Complete select “CONTINUE”
Complete Part 3 – When complete, select “CONTINUE”.
Complete Part 4 – When complete select “CONTINUE:.
Complete Part 5 – When complete select “CONTINUE”
(Last step in Part 5 is to type your full name; please make certain you have included all information you wish to have considered; you may FAX hard copies of other supporting documents to support your application; make certain that includes any required documents from a National Governing Body.
Click “SUBMIT”: Applications moves to Commander; the program takes you back to the Log On Screen; you can minimize the screen if you want to go back and check your application process - - or CLICK on the ‘X’ AT TOP OF SCREEN TO EXIT.
After you SUBMIT APPLICATION, you should IMMEDIATELY receive an e-mail verifying the application has been sent to your Commander. It is advisable to alert your Commander apprising him of this process to expedite your application – your Commander is urged to go directly on line to review your application and designate his approval/disapproval; Application goes DIRECTLY TO Army Sports Office for review and comments.
If you are a National Guard or Army Reserve, your application will go to
Army Sports Office; make certain you include all required Forms listed for Reserve Components – submit that application as early as possible.
You should re-visit the web to check status of your application; when received by Army Sports Office you will receive an acknowledgement
After selections are made by Army Sports Office, a Selection Memo will be distributed through Installation Management Agency (IMA) to the
Installation for athlete notification; Soldier athletes not at an installation will receive notification within 24 hours after liaison with IMA; ARNG and Reserve will be notified directly.
It is important you carefully read the selection criterion that includes special medical exams and National Governing Body requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: The Selection Memo will contain additional requirements set forth by National Sports Governing Body; if you fail to comply with those requirements you cannot advance from Trial Camp and must be returned parent station.
Problems or inquiries should be directed to your Community Sports and Fitness Office or All Army Trial Camp Liaison.
It is important for you to be physically, mentally and honed skills for the
Sport in which you apply - - these are Trial Camps, not Training Camp
Which include top athletes in the Armed Forces, and many with national and international experience – failure to be prepared will result in early program release and possibly disciplinary recommendations.
Neither are these programs to be consider a vehicle for leave; you will be
authorized travel to Trial Camp Host and return directly from release venue be it Trial Camp, Armed Forces or other higer level competition; not to and from leave address
